Welcome.  My name is Tye Hooley, and I have been interested in music from a very young age.  Some of my earliest memories include laying down next to Dad listening to music.  I would absorb the music and allow it to carry my soul to new places.  Every song, a form of emotional expression, transporting me to a new journey.  This perspective still resides in my compositions, lyrics and thematic material.

I started seriously playing guitar at the age of eighteen and helped start a band called "Indecent Exposure" with high school friends.  Indecent Exposure did not garner much attention, and wanting to stay in music, I  began working as a sound engineer and running live sound for other local bands.

Additionally, I spent time studying music and taught myself to play not only classical guitar, but also bass, keyboards, drums, flute, and vocals.  I spent a year performing with my collegiate symphonic choir and ran live sound for the jazz band and jazz vocal groups.  Although I have worn many different hats, my favorite experience is composing music and sound design for the video game developer, Cyan Worlds.

During this period, I started looking for a new sound.  One that allows me to experience intense feelings, be my ultimate form of self-expression, and try to emotionally reach others in a very personal way.  After years of writing and composing, I have decided to share this work with the world.  My goal: affect people in a positive way, to help express and overcome obstacles relating to the human condition.

I hope you enjoy your own journey and my music touches you in ways that help you survive that journey.

All the best,

Tye Hooley
